Kearney, Neb. – Redshirt junior cornerback Ife Current represents Nebraska Kearney on the 2025 Conference Commissioner's Association (CCA) All-Super Region 4 team.

The region is made up of schools from the MIAA, Great American Conf. (GAC), Lone Star Conf. (LSC), Rocky Mountain Athletic Conf. (RMAC) and independent Northeastern State. Sports information directors nominate and vote on the makeup of the team.

Current (Kennedale, Texas), who currently is in the portal and receiving FCS and FBS offers, made the first-team. He'll move onto the national ballot where he could earn All-American stats.

In his lone year as a Loper, the two-time All-MIAA selection had 55 tackles (45 solo), four interceptions for 38 yards and one touchdown and four pass breakups. Tying for the MIAA regular season INT lead with teammate Ja'Mareion Gipson and Washburn's Kamble Haverkamp, Current played in all 11 games and was part of a stingy defense. The Lopers allowed just 22.6 points and 325.5 yads per game while forcing 25 turnovers.

UNK went 6-5 this past season, beating in-state rivals Wayne State and Chadron State and going 4-1 at home. The spring season begins in March 2026.
