#2 Lopers Aim to Qualify All 10 in Gunnison

Kearney, Neb. – The second-ranked Nebraska Kearney wrestling team heads to Gunnison, Colo., on Saturday (Mar. 1) for the NCAA Super Region VI Tournament.
 
This one-day, 12-team event serves as a qualifier for the NCAA Division II Championships. The top three finishers in each of 10 weight classes advance to the NCAA's March 14-15 in Indianapolis. Wrestling begins at 11 a.m. Central with finals starting around 6 p.m. Fans not in attendance can watch via FloWrestling or follow along with live results via Trackwrestling.

The other top-ranked teams in the field are Western Colorado (T-13th), Adams State (T-18th), Colorado School of Mines (23rd) and Colorado Mesa (T-24th). Chadron State (26th) and San Francisco State (T-29th) are in the Top 30 with Cal Poly Humboldt a first-year program. UNK has won the team title in five of the last six years, scoring 143.50 points last winter in Pueblo.
