Lopers Rank 24th in GPA; 17 Individuals Tabbed

Kearney, Neb. – Seventeen members of the National Championship Nebraska-Kearney wrestling team have earned Division II Scholar All-American honors from National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA).

In order for a student-athlete to qualify, he must have a minimum 3.5 cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scale and competed in at least four events with the benchmark a 3.25 GPA for those who qualified for the 2025 NCAA Championships and a 3.00 GPA for those who were All-Americans.NWCA Logo
 
National runner up and senior Nick James (Kearney) is honored for the fifth time with All-Americans Crew Howard (Creston, Ia.) and Hector Serratos (Wichita) and redshirt juniors Jake Boley (Colorado Springs) and Dylan Vodicka (David City) all qualifying for a third time. Next, repeat selections are National Runner up Zach Ourada (Omaha Skutt), national qualifiers Joseph Airola (Ward, Colo.) and Trenton Munoz (Santa Clarita, Calif.) and redshirt sophomore Tate Kuchera (Bassett).

Finally, the first-time honorees are redshirt freshmen Jack Allen (Aurora), Brady Collins (Wray, Colo.), Cael Robb (Medford, Minn.) and Garrett Willuweit (Hewitt, Wisc.), redshirt sophomore Tre Daro (David City), redshirt juniors Gavyn Brauer (North Platte) and Jackson Kinsella (Creston, Ia.) and graduate Caleb Coyle (Bennington).

 
Wisconsin-Parkside led in the Scholar All-American team race as the Pioneers came in with a 3.568 GPA with UNK ranking 24th (3.224). That ranked second among all MIAA schools; a team's GPA is garnered from the 10 starters a program puts out at its respective regional tournament. 
 
This past winter, UNK finished won its fifth NCAA Championship, its 23rd consecutive top eight finish at that meet, as well as winning another Super Region VI title.
