Kearney, Neb. – The Nebraska Kearney softball team's schedule has changed this weekend due to expected inclement weather. 

The Lopers (5-4) are taking part in the Branson (Mo.) Battle Classic which features NCAA Division II and junior college brackets. The four-day tournament begins Thursday and runs until Sunday afternoon on five different fields; rain is in the forecast over the final three days.

UNK is now playing Thurs. (Feb. 12) and Thurs. (Feb. 13) instead of Fri. and Sat. The Lopers face Quincy, Ill. (2 p.m.) and Arkansas Tech (6 p.m.) on day one and then Southern Nazarene, Okla. (9:30 a.m.) and Missouri-St. Louis (11:30 a.m.) on Friday. SNU replaces William Jewell (Mo.) on the original schedule.

The Blue & Gold heads back to Branson March 6-8 for six games as part of the Grand Slam Classic.
