Kearney, Neb. – The 16th Annual Loper Football Backers dinner and scholarship fundraiser will be held Thursday, April 23rd, at the Younes Conference Center North.

Since the event was first hosted in 2010, it has raised just under $3 million for scholarships and program needs. The Loper Football Backers is a community-led volunteer organization whose mission is to raise funds for the UNK Football program. The group meets every Thursday (Feb. 12-April 16) at 8 a.m. in the Al Zikmund Conference Room at the Health & Sports Center. 

Another large crowd will attend the roughly four-hour event. The night begins at 5:30 p.m. with a social hour with the event including dinner, live and silent auction items and comments from UNK coaches and players. Single tickets can be purchased for $75 with a corporate table available for $750.

The list of auction items will be announced in the coming weeks so fans can register their phone to start the bidding process.

UNK is currently going through winter workouts with spring ball set to begin March 24 (Tues.) and then wrap up April 18. More details about the annual spring game/scrimmage will be announced soon.
