Three Days in the Books with Two More to Go

Kearney, Neb. – The Nebraska Kearney women's swimming & diving team remains in seventh place after the third day of the Rocky Mountain Athletic (RMAC) Conference Championships in Colorado.

The Aqualopers are up to 152 points and ahead of Texas Permian Basin and Adams State. Meet host Colorado Mesa (915.5) is in line to win another title.

Colorado freshman Delaney Madnikoff led UNK on Thursday as she scored in the 100-butterfly (22nd/altitude-converted 1:00.60) and was the second leg on the seventh place 400-medley relay team (altitude-converted 4:01.26). She now ranks third all-time in the fly with the relay effort also ranking third in the Loper record books.

Next, Kansas City senior Reese True scored in the fly as well (24th/career-best 1:01.09) with McCook freshman Maryann Kassner sixth on the 3-meter board (337.95 points). Leading in the other Thursday individual events were Kansas freshman Joslynn Grace in the 400-individual medley (25th/altitude-converted 4:43.45) and Kansas City freshman Jacey McGraw in the 200-free (30th/altitude-converted 2:04.93). Finally, the 400 MR team also included lead Grace, Beatrice freshman Jaedyn Baxa and Norfolk senior Maggie Waddington.

Action resumes Friday at 11 a.m. Central with the 100 and 500 free, 100-backstroke and 200-butterfly. Men's 3-meter follows at 3 p.m. with the 200-free relay apart of event finals at night.
