Tanner Spencer enters his first season as the Pitching Coach at the University of Nebraska at Kearney.

Along with the day-to-day handling of the UNK pitching staff, the former Loper player also handles the Strength and Conditioning of the unit. 

Spencer spent the summer of 2017 as pitching coach for the Moose Jaw (Canada) Miller Express of the Western Major Baseball League, a position which he will resume during the summer of 2018. 

The native of Craik, Saskatchewan, Canada enjoyed a two-year playing career with the Lopers. A 2017 MIAA Academic Honor Roll qualifier, he started 11 games including eight in his senior season. 

Prior to UNK, Spencer played at Colby Community College in Northwest Kansas for two seasons. As a high school player, Spencer attended Vauxhall Academy. Spencer also spent parts of two seasons on the Canadian Junior National Team. 

Spencer graduated from UNK with a Bachelors in Exercise Science. He is currently pursuing a masters in Physical Education.
