Joined the wrestling team in the second semester of the 2012-13 year ... at 197 lbs., went 9-2 and finished as national runner up ... went through spring football drills after helping the Lopers win the national wrestling title

PRIOR TO UNK
Wrestled at Nebraska-Lincoln and played football at Hutchinson CC ... for the Huskers in 2008-09, went 3-1 to place runner up at the Kaufman-Brand Open ... in six games for the HCC Blue Dragons in 2009, ran 33 times for 243 yards (7.2 yards per carry) and two TD's ... long run of 76 yards

HIGH SCHOOL
Was a 10-time state champion for Class 6A Hutchinson High ... claimed four state titles with a 137-11 career record ... 72-0 over his final two seasons ... added four more championships from his running back position in football and was a two-time power lifting state champion ... as a senior running back in 2007, galloped for 1,361 yards (7.56 ypg) and 29 TD's ... voted an all-state four times in wrestling and twice in football ... also the 2006 Cadet national champion in freestyle and Greco-Roman and earned a No. 7 national ranking at 189 lbs. according to InterMat
