A native of Denver, Colorado, John Duff joined the UNK Sports Medicine staff in January of 2020. He serves as one of the Lopers’ full-time Athletic Trainers and primarily works with the football and wrestling teams.
Prior to joining UNK Duff spent seven years with Major League Baseball's Colorado Rockies, working with their minor league affilates. During this time he was Head Athletic Trainer for the Grand Junction (Colo.) Rockies, the rookie affiliate of the Rockies. He also spent time at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs helping cover the resident wrestling teams.
Graduating from Nebraska Wesleyan University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training in 2009, he served as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer for two years and earned a Master of Arts degree in Sports Management from NCAA Division II Regis (Colo.) University.
Duff and his wife, Sara, reside in Kearney with their three kids, Francis, Willa and Beckett.
