Tyler Summers joined Nebraska-Kearney strength and conditioning in the summer of 2024. He'll work with the Loper track and field, men's basketball, and softball teams.
The Hastings native most recently was a graduate assistant Human Performance Coach at Hastings (Neb.) College where he primarily worked with the Broncos men's soccer and women's basketball teams while assisting with the football program. He was a Human Peformance Intern as an undergraduate student and also completed an internship with the University of Minnesota Athletic Performance in the summer of 2022.
Summers was a standout thrower for the Broncos, earning three All-American honors (hammer and weight throw) over a five-year career. He holds CSCS (Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the NSCA), USAW Level 1 (United States Weightlifting Sport Performance Coach through the USAW) and CPRA/AED (American Red Cross) certifications.
