University of Nebraska - Kearney Athletics

Whitney Ryan joined the Nebraska-Kearney Athletic Training staff in the summer of 2013. She serves as one of the Lopers full-time Athletic Trainers and works with the men's and women's basketball and soccer teams.

Prior to coming to Kearney, Ryan spent one year at Division I Florida International University in Miami where she worked as an Assistant Athletic Trainer. Working primarily with the Panthers baseball program, she also assisted the Head Athletic Trainer with daily operations of the athletic training room. Ryan also was responsible for all aspects of pre-participation physicals.

Graduating from the University of Kansas with an Athletic Training degree in 2008, she served as a graduate assistant athletic trainer at the University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV) for two years.

Earning a Kinesiology degree from UNLV in 2010, Ryan was Head Athletic Trainer at Coffeyville (Kan.) Community College  for two years before going to Miami.
