Adam Bretschneider is a 2011 graduate of Rock County High School in Bassett, Neb.
Following high school, he attended the University of Nebraska Kearney where he received a bachelor's degree in Athletic Training in 2015. Following his graduation, he became an Athletic Trainer at Lexington Public Schools where he worked with all sports at the high school and middle school, and taught Intro into Athletic Training to high school students.
In 2018, Adam worked for Grand Island Physical Therapy as an outreach Athletic Trainer for Doniphan-Trumbull Public Schools, working with football, volleyball, basketball, and wrestling. In 2021, he received his NREMT certification.
He came back to UNK in 2023 as a part-time assistant athletic trainer for football. As of 2024, Bretschneider works with football and women’s swimming & diving as a full-time athletic trainer.Â
Bretschneider and his wife Jami live in Kearney with their two children, Kooper and Kali.
