Dillon Hinrickson joined Nebraska-Kearney Sports Medicine in the spring of 2021 and works with Loper football.
The Smithland, Iowa, native comes to Kearney from Division I Texas State University. He served as a graduate assistant for two seasons, working with the Bobcats football team. Hinrickson was involved in all aspects of athletic training with TSU football, having direct communication with team physician for scheduling MRI’s, post-operative rehabilitations and return to play protocols. He also worked witht the TSU strength and conditioning staff and oragnaized and prepared equipment for travel and game days.Â
Since 2018 Hinrickson also has been an NFL Summer intern with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, provided medical coverage for the TSU club lacrosse team, worked with FloSports wrestling, and trained as a preceptor for TSU undergraduate ATEP.
Hinrickson was a defensive back at Buena Vista University in Storm Lake, Iowa, playing for the Beavers from 2015-18. He was coached by former Loper assistant Grant Mollring and Jake Mandelko.Â
He is a member of the Southwest Athletic Trainers’ and National Athletic Trainers’ Associations as well as the Iowa Athletic Training Society. Hinrickson is a Board Certified Athletic Trainer and a Texas Licensed Athletic Trainer.
