With the start of the 2019 season, Theison Anderson is in his second year as a Nebraska-Kearney graduate assistant coach.
UNK went 33-3 last fall, winning the MIAA regular and tournament titles while reaching the NCAA's for a 20th straight season. Six players were named to the all-league team with senior libero Ellie McDonnell earning All-American honors after breaking school marks for digs in a career and season.Â
Anderson was familiar with the Loper program having served as a practice player for two seasons. He continues in that roll while also supporting the program at home matches.
A Ravenna native, Anderson was a member of the RHS Bluejays basketball and cross country teams. He was part of three state championship basketball teams and, individually, was named all-state.
Anderson currently is a fifth grade teacher at Meadowlark Elementary in Kearney.
