Roy Stutz entered his 14th year as an Assistant Athletic Trainer at UNK with the 2018-19 campaign. In the summer of 2013, he added Rehabilitation Coordinator to his duties. 

Originally from Aurora Colo., he graduated from Overland High School in 1995. Stutz earned his Bachelor's of Arts degree from UNK in 7-12 Health and Special Education with a minor in Athletic Training. 

He returned to Denver, Colo., as a graduate assistant at Regis University from 2000-02 where he earned a Masters Degree in Education. In the Fall of 2002, Stutz was hired as an Assistant Athletic Trainer at MIAA-member Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, Mo. At SBU, his primary sport responsibilities included the coverage of football, men's basketball and baseball. He also taught in the ATEP program at SBU.  

In January of 2005, Stutz was hired as an Assistant Athletic Trainer at UNK. His primary sport responsibilities are football and wrestling, as well as serving as the drug testing coordinator for the athletic department. Stutz also teaches in the ATEP program.

He and his wife, Dee, currently reside in Kearney with their son, Dawson, and daughter, Eliza.
