Rich Brodersen

Rich Brodersen currently serves as a Development Officer for the University of Nebraska Foundation, where he leads donor engagement efforts for the University of Nebraska at Kearney (UNK) Athletic Department and campus-wide initiatives.

Prior to his current role, Brodersen spent 18 years as Senior Associate Athletic Director for Internal Operations at UNK. He continues to serve as the public address announcer for Loper Athletics—a role he has held for over 35 years. His announcing experience also includes more than three decades with the Nebraska School Activities Association (NSAA) Championships in cross country, football, wrestling, basketball, and track & field. Additionally, he announces for Nebraska Volleyball and various MIAA, Big Ten, and NCAA Championship events.

A native of McCook, Nebraska, Brodersen earned his bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism from UNK, where he competed as a sprinter and triple jumper on the track team. He resides in Kearney and is a past president of both the Kearney Sports and Recreation Board and the Dobytown Kiwanis Club.

Before joining UNK, he worked at the Nebraska Television Network (NTV) as a marketing and public relations coordinator and fill-in weatherman.
