Wearing the blue and gold for the first time since the 2010 NCAA Outdoor meet last May, Tobey (Waco) had a strong showing in Hays, Kans., over the weekend.

The six-time All-American recorded an NCAA automatic qualifying throw in the discus (184-2) and an NCAA provisional toss in the shot put (53-11.75).

On the current national list, Tobey ranks second in the discus and eighth in the shot.
