For a second straight meet, Bongers broke a UNK school record.

On Friday night in Lincoln, the East Butler H.S. graduate won the 600 meter race in 1:33.44, smashing nearly a five year old record by three seconds.

A week earlier, Bongers set a new Loper mark in the 800.
