Schrodt broke his own school record in the heptathlon Saturday at UNK Pre-Holiday Open by scoring 5,256 points.

The highest point total in D2 so far this year, it also automatically qualifies him for the NCAA Indoor Championships March 14-15 in North Carolina.

Last March, the Lincoln native tallied 5,185 points to place seventh at the national meet.
