Benesch qualified for the NCAA Cross Country Championships by placing eighth at the Central Regional meet Saturday in Joplin.

The Columbus native ran the 6k course in 21:08.78 to snag the second of three individual national spots. She'll be the first Loper woman at the NCAA's in nine years.
