The 5th-ranked Nebraska-Kearney volleyball team got 15 kills from senior middle Nikki Scott, and 13 kills from outsides Erica Burson and Chelsie Carson, to beat Hastings College (25-27, -11, -17, -13) Wednesday night at the Health & Sports Center.

In front of a crowd of 1,621, UNK (21-1) wins its 15th straight match. This marks the seventh time in the Rick Squiers era (1999-present) that the Lopers have had a winning streak of 15 matches or more.

This was Hastings (22-6) first trip to Kearney since 2003. UNK now leads the all-time series 49-8-1.

Beatrice senior Shannon Clausen served up eight straight points, with each point coming off a Loper kill, to help the Lopers open up an 17-4 lead in the second set.
