Kearney, Neb. - The Nebraska-Kearney track & field team finished up its regular season Friday at the Nebraska Tune Up meet in Lincoln.
The non-team scoring event included schools and athletes from around the Midwest.
Senior thrower
Rich Mourer (Colorado Springs) had the Lopers most noteworthy performance as he placed second in the weight throw with a toss of 63-8.25.
A season-best throw, the effort also automatically qualifies him for the NCAA's next moth. On this week's national list, this throw would rank Mourer 8th in Division II.

Sam Murphy once again had a big throw in the shot put as she finished third (47-11.25). An automatic qualifying throw, Murphy's season-best effort is just a bit higher at 48-0.
