Kearney, Neb. - The Nebraska-Kearney women's soccer team will close out its third season at home with games against Colorado-Colorado Springs and Adams State this weekend.
The Mountain Lions visit Thursday night at 7:00 p.m. and the Grizzlies come to town Sunday at 1:00 p.m. Fans that cannot make the trip to Kearney can follow the action via

UNK (4-11-1, 2-9-1 RMAC) scored a school-record six goals in last year's 6-2 home win over UCCS. The Lions (8-7-1, 4-7-1 RMAC) greatly helped as they tallied two "own" goals.
Earlier this year in Colorado, UCCS recorded two second half goals to beat UNK, 2-1.
Coming off an impressive 3-1 win over No. 25 Metro State, Springs is led by senior Julia Saenz (10 points) and a pair of four goal scorers in junior Agnes Arnadottir (Iceland) and senior Candice Buckles.
In goal, sophomore Kelly Schroeder is 7-4-0 with a 1.42 GAA and 52 saves.
UNK is 0-3 all-time vs. Adams (6-8-2, 3-7-2 RMAC). The Grizzlies are a dangerous team if the contest gets past 90 minutes. They tied No. 23 Colorado Mines last weekend in Golden, 2-2, making them 3-0-2 in OT games this fall.
Senior forward Jessica Hellweg (22 points; nine goals) has some of the best offensive numbers in the conference with freshman Allie Mercado and senior Autumn Boyer having each tallied four goals.
Adams does give up some goals as North Dakota State transfer Christine Stemple has a 2.27 GAA with 84 saves.
Through 16 games, UNK has three players with five or more points. Sophomore
Raliegh Mercer has a school-record eight goals, in addition to three assists. Next, speedy freshman
Ashtin Pawloski has a team-high four assists and two goals with sophomore
Becka Talcott at five points, thanks to three assists and a goal.
Junior keeper
Marissa Niday has played all 1,460 minutes this year. She has recorded three shutouts and currently has a 1.85 GAA with 80 saves.

Melanie Patrick leads position players with 1,327 minutes. Other Lopers with over 1,100 minutes are junior
Merydeth Cummings (1,220), sophomore Sara Talcott (1,166), true freshman
Lauren Hoeft (1,141) and Pawloski (1,118).
