Kearney, Neb. – Six members of the Nebraska Kearney women's soccer team recently earned Academic All-District honors from the College Sports Communicators (CSC)Academic All-District

This award went through a change prior the 2022-23 academic year and had additional changes in the summer of 2023. To qualify now, a student-athlete must maintain a 3.50 cumulative GPA (undergraduate and graduate), have played 90% of their teams games or started 66% of the time during the recently completed season. In addition, schools can nominate no more than six in women's soccer with new transfers eligible for the award.

Previously, Academic All-District nominees could've posted a 3.25 cumulative GPA, there was no game percentage requirement with honorees selected by a random vote. Now, all qualifiers receive Academic All-District distinction.

UNK's qualifiers are senior Mia Lang (Papillion-La Vista South), redshirt junior Riley Jensen (Bellevue East), juniors Susie Bovaird (Lincoln East), Jordan Renard (Lincoln NE) and Iliana Wurzbacher (Atchison, Kan.) and redshirt sophomore Reegen McKee (Fruita, Colo.). A random vote of CSC's from Division II will select an Academic All-American team.

Lang is now a three-time qualifier with Bovaird and Wurzbacher repeat selections.
