Kearney, Neb. - The Nebraska-Kearney volleyball team looks to bounce back from its first loss of the season when Truman State visits the Health & Sports Center Friday night at 6:00 p.m.
On Saturday, fellow MIAA newcomer Lindenwood stops by at 4:00 p.m.

This will be Truman's (16-4, 5-2) second visit to Kearney this year as they were part of the New Victorian Inn & Suites/Runza Fall Classic in early September.
Riding a seven-match winning streak, Truman is paced by 5-11 sophomore outside Allie Brack (3.69 kills per set) and 5-11 senior middle Megan Sharpe (3.17 kps). Sharpe also hits an impressive .375 and leads the team in blocks at 1.22 ps. Defensively, Brack is at 2.71 dps.
Also, Papillion sophomore setter Meghan Zimmerman is at 9.99 aps and leads the team in aces with 30. In the back row, sophomore libero Abby Moser is at a team-high 4.29 dps.
Playing at a red hot Fort Hays State Friday night, the Lions enter the weekend with a 12-8 record (2-4 MIAA). Lindenwood went 3-1 in the SBU Crossover Tournament last Friday and Saturday, falling to Arkansas Tech in five sets, a squad the Lopers swept.
Five players average between 2.00-2.99 kills per set, led by 5-10 senior outside Erin Anselman (2.66). She also hits .231, second best on the team.
Senior DS Kaila Schrimpf paces the defense with 4.71 dps and 6-0 freshman Kayla Guyot is at a team-high 0.99 bps. Offensively, Guyot leads the team with a .280 attack percentage and is third in kills (2.46).
Guyot is a graduate of St. James Academy, the same high school that produced Loper sophomore DS
Molly O'Brien.
UNK enters these matches with a 244-14 (94.6 win pct.) home record since 1999. Kearney also hasn't dropped a regular season home conference match since 2010.
Averaging an impressive 14.3 kills and 20.1 digs per set as a team. the Lopers are now getting out blocked on the season, 123.5 to 105.0. While UNK has recorded 37 solo stuffs, the opposition has racked up 211 block assists to average 1.90 bps.
Back on the plus side, UNK has almost twice as many service aces as its opponents, 100-53, while hitting over .150 points higher.
The Lopers return to the road early next week with a date at Missouri Western State on Tuesday.
