Wrestling Back to Fourth in National Rankings

Kearney, Neb. - The Nebraska-Kearney wrestling team is back to fourth in the latest Division II Wrestling Coaches Association Top 25 poll.

The Lopers received 137 points this time to trail only St. Cloud State, Minn. (160), Newberry, S.C. (151) and Upper Iowa (139.5). Augustana, who was fourth in the last poll, received 127.5 points.

Other RMAC teams in the poll are Grand Canyon, Ariz. (7th), Adams State (9th), Fort Hays State (15th), Western State (tied for 18th) and Colorado Mesa (20th).

UNK hosts Mesa and Western this weekend and faces GCU and Hays next Wednesday in Kansas.

Individually, four Lopers are ranked and three maintained their position.

Senior Dalton Jensen (Missouri Valley, Ia.) is No. 1 at 141 lbs., seniors T.J. Hepburn (157 lbs./East Hampton, Conn.) and Joey Wilson (165 lbs./Half Moon Bay, Calif.) are second at their respective weight class with junior Raufeon Stots (149 lbs./Houston, Texas) dropping one spot to third.
