Kearney, Neb. – The 3rd-ranked Central Oklahoma Bronchos won the first four matches, and used two fallls, to post a 22-16 win over 13th-ranked Nebraska-Kearney Thursday night in Edmond, Okla. 
 
With the MIAA dual win, UCO improves to 5-1 (2-0) while the Lopers fall to 3-3 (1-1).
 
UCO jumped out to a 16-0 lead before UNK won five straight matches to tie things up. However, at 285 lbs., eighth-ranked Cody Daupin pinned sophomore Zach Anderson (Clay Center, Kans.) at 1:16 to give the Bronchos the win.
 
Anderson, a first-year transfer from Labette C.C. (Kans.), is a 197 pounder who has bumped up to heavyweight in the past month.
 
UCO started the night with a 4-3 overtime win at 125 lbs. as Ryan Brooks just got past redshirt freshman Jake Gentzler (Andover, Kans.). After a major decision and a fall, second-ranked Jordan Basks upset top-ranked Raufeon Stots (Houston, Texas), 6-3, at 149 lbs. to give UCO a commanding lead.
 
Lincoln redshirt freshman Chase White started the Kearney coming back with a 3-1 sudden victory over veteran Cory Dauphin at 157 lbs. Senior Chase Nelson (Wichita, Kans.) then majored sixth-ranked Chris Watson, 15-6, with junior Patrick Martinez (Hemet, Calif.) upsetting fourth-ranked Kelly Henderson, 5-1.
 
This was Martinez's first match as a Loper; he was a two-time NCAA Division I Championships qualifier for the Wyoming Cowboys.
 
For a third straight class, UNK pulled the upset as junior Mark Fiala (Seward) beat fourth-ranked Tanner Keck, 5-3. Finally, Omaha sophomore Matt Lenagh posted a 3-2 win (tie breaker) at 197 lbs. against Znick Ferrell.
 
UNK has four home duals Saturday in the Health & Sports Center.
