Kearney, Neb. – The 4th-ranked Nebraska-Kearney wrestling team heads back out on the road this week for MIAA duals at Lindenwood and Truman.

The Lopers (11-3, 2-0) face the LWU Lions Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. and the TSU Bulldogs, an affiliate member of the MIAA in wrestling, Friday at 7:30 p.m.

In the driver's seat to win the league regular season title, UNK will have a tough test against a Lindenwood squad (3-1, 2-1) that fell at 5th-ranked Central Oklahoma, 19-18, last week.

A former NAIA powerhouse that redshirted several starters a year ago, the St. Charles, Mo.-based Lions feature reigning MIAA Wrestler of the Week Steve Butler (285 lbs.) and sophomores Kyle Webb (19-10/141 lbs.) and Derrick Weller (15-7/149 lbs.).

Truman (5-5, 0-2) is led by senior Ryan Maus, currently sixth at 149 lbs. He is a two-time national qualifier who sports a 15-3 record.

Also in the 'Dawgs lineup is senior Colton Schmitz (20-7/157 lbs.) and junior heavyweight Ryan Ward (14-8).
UNK returns home next weekend to face Newman and Central Missouri in the Health & Sports Center.
