Kearney, Neb. - The 2nd-ranked Nebraska Kearney wrestling team will be unveiling a new testament of their tradition this Friday, February 7th, when they host MIAA foe Central Missouri.

Prior to the first bout at 7:00 p.m., members of 2012-13 national championship team will be introduced and the 2013 championship banner will be unveiled. 

The banner will be displayed in its permanent location in the rafters of the Health & Sports Center, along side banners commemorating the 2008 and 2012 titles.

The Lopers will also hold an intermission during the dual, which will feature opportunities for fans to get involved and win items from the UNK wrestling team.

"Winning a national championship is a very special accomplishment and it's fitting we recognize the 2013 wrestling title with an unveiling of the team's win," said UNK Athletic Director Paul Plinske. "We hope this will be a special time for us to reflect on an outstanding performance last winter, but we also want this event to catapult our team on to greatness this season. The UNK family is very proud of the Loper Wrestling Program and is honored to celebrate this unveiling."
