The "
Clash at Lake Mac" brings together three college and three high schools teams. There will be six duals in all, beginning at 4:00 p.m. Central and running until roughly 9:00 p.m. Central.
The duals will be held side by side at Ogallala High School. The Lopers will face York College at four and Chadron State and eight with the Panthers and Eagles meeting at 6:00 p.m. Central. On the next mat over, Ogallala, Sutherland and Sidney will square off.
UNK hasn't had a December dual since facing Central Michigan and Nebraska back in 2009. The Loper lineup is already rounding into shape, however, with 2015 All-Americans
Daniel DeShazer (133 lbs.),
Keith Surber (141 lbs.) and Destin McCualey (149 lbs.) all expected to compete Friday.
After the Division II Moratorium (no practice or events between December 21-27), UNK will have a few practices before facing Midland on January 1st in Fremont. The Lopers then stay in town for the Viking-Warrior Open the next day.
