Kearney, Neb. – The Nebraska-Kearney women's tennis team is the fourth seed in the
2015 MIAA Tournament that begins Friday in Springfield, Mo.
UNK (20-5) will face fifth-seed Emporia State (11-9) Friday at noon in a first round match. The Lopers edged the Hornets, 5-4, earlier this year in Harmon Park.
The Kearney/E-State winner advances to Saturday's semifinals at 9:00 a.m. against either top-seed Northeastern State or eighth-seeded Washburn
The first and third place matches will be held Sunday at noon.
This year, the Central Region receives seven bids to the NCAA's with the MIAA, NSIC (Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conf.) and GAC (Great American Conf.) Tournament winners each receiving an automatic bid. UNK currently is ranked fifth in the Central.
