Tara Ziegelbein had a match-high 14 kills to help fourth-ranked Nebraska-Kearney sweep Lindenwood (-20, -18, -16) Friday night in St. Charles, Mo.
The Lopers (25-1, 10-1) remain in a first place tie in the MIAA standings as Washburn (20-4, 10-1) rallied past Pittsburg State, 3-2, tonight on the road.
Lindenwood (8-13, 4-7) has always played UNK tough at home and nothing changed as the Lions hung around in each set. However, Kearney hit a solid .290 while LWU committed 16 unforced attack errors.
Among the national leaders in hitting efficiency, Ziegelbein (Lincoln Lutheran H.S.) reached her kill total in just 24 swings with two errors (.500 pct.). She also had two blocks and a dig on defense.
Trailing just twice all night, UNK had 6.0 team blocks and registered 12 more digs, 69-57, than the Lions. Lindenwood did serve up four aces and have six blocks of their own.

Mackenzie Puckett (Grand Island H.S.) had eight kills, two blocks and hit .357 with senior right side
Annie Wolfe (Omaha Marian H.S.) having a team-high 15 digs, nine kills and two assists.
Finally for the Lopers, sophomore defensive specialists
Ellie McDonnell (12), Ali Rowse (12) and
Morgan Stute (13) combined for 37 digs.
Sarah Makowski paced the Lions with eight kills, two blocks and two digs.
UNK is at No. 16 Central Missouri Saturday night.
