Women Fly By the Cards

Kearney, Neb. – The Nebraska-Kearney women's tennis team moved to 5-0 after a sweep of the William Jewell College Cardinals Friday evening in Grand Island.

The Lopers allowed 10 total points in doubles with senior Paula Jimenez (Spain) and freshman Camryn Parnell (Lee's Summit, Mo.) winning 8-6 in the second spot in the lineup.

At No. 1 singles, freshman Sherry Sun (China) won 6-2, 7-5 with Jimenez taking her number three match by a 7-5, 6-3 score. Finally, sophomore Emma Neil (Papillion) rolled to a 6-1, 6-0 win in the fifth position

UNK is now off until a March 3rd home match vs. Colorado Mesa. The Loper men are back in action next weekend vs. WJC.
