Midwest Duals Return this Weekend

Kearney, Neb. - The Nebraska-Kearney wrestling program hosts the seventh annual Midwest Duals this Friday and Saturday at the Buffalo County Fairgrounds.

Nineteen colleges (NCAA Division II, NAIA and JUCO), 16 high schools and several youth club teams from Nebraska and surrounding states will take part. Action begins at 9 a.m. on both days and runs until the early evening hours.

On Friday, NAIA, junior colleges and a UNK "reserve" team will compete along with smaller class high schools. On Saturday, the action will include Division II schools, kids clubs and larger class high schools.

Cost of admission per day is $10 (adults) and $8 (seniors/youths). Those who have the UNK All-Sports pass or a Nebraska Coaches Association pass will also gain admittance; the passes must be shown to get in. All proceeds benefit Loper wrestling.

Gates open each day at around 8 a.m. (after skin checks and weigh-ins are completed).
