Kearney, Neb. – The Nebraska-Kearney women's tennis team will battle eighth-ranked Central Oklahoma in the first round of the 2019 MIAA Tournament next Friday in Oklahoma City.

The single elimination eight-team tournament is being held at the OKC Tennis Center from Friday, April 26 through Sunday, April 28. The winner of the event receives an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.

UNK (15-12) is the seventh seed in the tourney with the 'Chos (15-4) the second seed. First serve is set for 9 a.m.; during the regular season UCO posted a 7-0 victory over the Lopers in Grand Island.

The Loper-Bronchos winner will face the NW Missouri State (No. 3)/Emporia State (No. 6) victor at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 27. The championship match is set for 10 a.m. on Sunday, April 28, and will be carried by The MIAA Network.
