Kearney, Neb. – The now fourth-ranked Nebraska-Kearney wrestling team will face the Bellarmine (Ky.) Knights Friday morning in the first round of the 2020 U.S. Marine Corps National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) Multi-Divisional National Duals.?

This annual double elimination dual tournament brings together the top wrestling teams from NCAA Divisions II and III, the NAIA, the junior college ranks and women's programs. This year's tourney features a record 92 schools and is set for January 10-11 (Friday and Saturday) at the Kentucky Expo Center/Freedom Hall. Trackwrestling is providing live results and live video (for a price) all weekend. 

St. Cloud State is the Division II top seed and riding a 54-match dual winning streak, tying its' own D2 record. The Huskies have won this event each of the past three years and five times overall. 

UNK (3-2), the sixth seed, will face BU (1-1) at 10 a.m. Central on Friday. Win and the Lopers wrestle at 2 p.m. Central against No. 2 and third-seed Pittsburgh-Johnstown. Fall to Bellarmine and the Lopers will compete at 4 p.m. Central in the consolation bracket against either UPJ, No. 13 Limestone (S.C.) or Mary (N.D.). 

Bellarmine, wrestling in its hometown, features ninth-ranked Gage Branson (149 lbs.). Back in the summer of 2019 Bellarmine announced its intentions of joining Division I and the Atlantic Sun Conference. 

Last year at the National Duals UNK went 3-1 on the weekend to place third. The Lopers won this event back in 2003 and 2007.
