Kearney, Neb. – The Central Oklahoma Bronchos scored three first half goals to down Nebraska Kearney, 4-0, Sunday afternoon in Edmond.

The 'Chos (6-4-2, 3-1-2) had a strong weekend as they bested Fort Hays State, 5-0, on Friday night. The Lopers (5-3-4, 1-3-2) return home next weekend to face Missouri Western and Northwest Missouri.

UCO earned its sixth straight win in the series as graduate Rebekah George scored twice in the first 17 minutes this afternoon. The 'Chos top goal scorer on the fall, she tallied her fifth at 2:35 and then recorded an unassisted goal about 14 minutes later. True freshman Jordan Tanges then made it 3-0 when she found the back of the net at about the 30:00 mark.

UNK managed 12 shots on the day with five on goal, but UCO keeper Avery Bass recorded five saves. Juniors Hanna Schimmer (Council Bluffs, Ia.) and Kea Barnes (Aurora, Colo.) and true freshmen Serene Hamzeh (Iowa City, Ia.) and Billie Forrest (Taylorsville, Utah) had multi-shot efforts to pace the offense.

About 18 minutes into the second half, UCO made it 4-0 when junior Becca Tweedy scored her fourth goal of the season. The 'Chos finished with a 7-3 advantage in corners and had 20 shots overall.

Missouri Western (11-0-1, 6-0-0) upset 5th-ranked Central Missouri today in St. Joseph, 1-0, with Northwest (5-2-5, 3-1-2) getting past Rogers State, 2-0.
