Rumble in Mahoney

Kearney, Neb. – The regionally-ranked Nebraska-Kearney cross country teams start 2024 this Friday (Sept. 6) with the Platte River Rumble Gold at Eugene Mahoney State Park. Platte River Rumble Gold 2024

The women run a 5k beginning at 6:30 p.m. with the men's race slated to start at 7:15 and will be a 6k. The eight-team field includes Division I members Creighton, Nebraska-Omaha and South Dakota. Fans can follow along at Black Squirrel Timing; for detailed course and parking maps, visiting the meet website.

The Loper men enter the year ranked fifth in the Central Region and 34th in Division II with the women seventh in the preseason region rankings.

UNK stays in-state again as it runs Sept. 21 at the annual Greeno/Dirksen Invite in Lincoln
