Balanced Attack Paces 'Bods over the Lopers

Kearney, Neb. – The Washburn Ichabods got goals from three different players and recorded two saves to down Nebraska Kearney, 3-0, Friday night in Topeka.

WU moves to 5-2-2 (2-0-1) while UNK falls to 2-4-2 (0-1-2).

True freshman Kate Hinick tallied her second goal of the fall eight minutes in with senor Shayne Taylor finding the net in the 33rd minute. That is her second goal of 2025 and was assisted by true freshman Lydia Keller. Finally, WU added an insurance goal eight minutes into the second half when true freshman Leah Henke scored for the fifth time this year.

Defensively, true freshman Liili Everly made two first half saves with senior Alli Harrington working the final 45 minutes. Hinick had a game-high seven shots with four teammates having two apiece.

UNK was led by Bellevue defender Riley Jensen (90 minutes, two shots), Lincoln junior keeper Susie Bovaird (five saves) and Colorado sophomore Daniella Iaquinta (one shot on goal).

The Lopers head to nationally-ranked Central Missouri on Sunday afternoon.
