#1 Lopers Head to Regionals in Golden

Kearney, Neb. – The top-ranked Nebraska Kearney wrestling team heads to Golden, Colo., on Saturday (Feb. 28) for the NCAA Super Region VI Championhips.
 
This one-day, 13-team event serves as a qualifier for the NCAA Division II Championships. The top three finishers in each of 10 weight classes advance to the NCAA's March 13-14 in Sioux Falls. Wrestling begins at 11 a.m. Central with finals starting around 6 p.m. Fans not in attendance can watch via FloWrestling or follow along via Trackwrestling. 

The other top-ranked teams are Adams State (15th), Chadron State (17th), San Francisco State (T-18th), Colorado Mesa (21st) and Western Colorado (24th); Vanguard (Calif.) officially moved up from the NAIA to become the region's 13th squad. UNK has won the team title in six of the last seven years, scoring 159.0 points last winter in Gunnison and qualifying all 10 individuals for nationals. NCAA Wrestling Ticket Logo 2026
