Kearney, Neb. – Redshirt senior Clare Plachy and junior Fabiana Gamboa represent Nebraska Kearney on the 2026 All-MIAA women's tennis team.

Plachy (Lincoln Pius X) picks up the league's "Sportsmanship Award" and becomes the sixth Loper woman to earn this award since 2018. Next, she and Gamboa (Venezuela) were tabbed honorable mention in doubles. The pair are 11-7 in duals this spring, posting a 10-6 mark at two and a 6-3 mark vs. MIAA competition. This is the first all-league doubles honors for both.

Next, Gamboa is now a three-time All-MIAA selection in singles and repeats as a first team pick. The 2025 All-American overcame injuries to warm up throughout the semester, entering the MIAA Tournament with a team-best 13-4 dual mark. She is 8-0 at two and 7-2 against the conference.

UNK is the sixth seed in the MIAA Tournament and battles 40th-ranked Northwest Missouri Friday (May 1) in Springfield, Mo., at 2 p.m.
