A sophomore from Bennington, Backhuus had a week to remember as UNK went 3-1 at Colorado Mesa.

Over six games, Backhuus earned her first win of the year, picked up the Lopers first save of the season and hit her first career homer.

For the week, she had a 1.62 ERA on the mound while having four hits at the plate.
