Fruit is heading back to the NCAA Division II Cross Country Championships after finishing 13th at the Central Regional meet this pas Saturday in Wayne.

Running a team-best 31:372, Fruit (Ogallala) helped the Lopers finish sixth in a field of 19 schools.

Claiming one of the two NCAA individual spots from the region, Fruit placed 68th at last year's NCAA meet but wasn't 100 percent due to injury.

This year, the NCAA meet is Dec. 4th in Louisville, Ky.
