Tennis Teams Sweep Prairie Wolves

Kearney, Neb. - The Nebraska-Kearney tennis teams swept Nebraska Wesleyan Saturday afternoon in Lincoln.

The women (2-1) won 6-3 while the men (3-1) won by a 9-0 score. In the fall, the Loper men also blanked Wesleyan in Lincoln.

The women's dual was competitive as NWU won at No. 3 doubles. In singles, the home team won at the fourth and sixth spots with Texas junior Claire Bryan winning her No. 5 match by a close score of 7-6(7), 6-4.

The Loper men didn't drop a singles set and didn't give up more then four points in doubles.

Things will be tougher this weekend as UNK will face Washburn, Emporia State and NW Missouri State in Topeka, Kan.
