Kearney, Neb. – University of Nebraska Kearney picked up its second victory of the season by beating Augustana (S.D.), Tuesday night 1-0 in double overtime at Cope Stadium.
With tonight's win the Lopers have improved off of last year win total. Both win this season have came against member of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference.

Becka Talcott (Denver, CO/Cherry Creek) scored the game winning goal in the second overtime at the 105 minute mark from the top of the box about 26 yards out, the goal was assisted by fellow freshman
Raliegh Mercer (Centennial.CO/ Arapahoe) and junior
Morgan Abert (Waupaca, WI).
Talcott has scored both goals for the Lopers, which have resulted in 1-0 victories.
Augustana had three chances to score late in the second half off of corner kick by Stephanie Goos, each time the Loper back line denied the Vikings a goal.
Once again Mercer led UNK with four shots and two shots on goal, bringing her season total to 12 shots with half of those being on goal.
The Vikings held advantages in shots (14-9) and corner kicks (8-4) over the Lopers.
Sophomore goalkeeper Vanessa Leeper (Colorado Springs, CO) picks up the win and her second on the year.
UNK continues the home stand on Saturday afternoon against Northern State (S.D.).
