Box Score Kearney, Neb. – The 15
th-ranked Colorado School of Mines women's soccer team scored two goals in the last 15 minutes to edge Nebraska-Kearney,
2-0, Friday night in Golden.

UNK has been a thorn in the 'Diggers side, forcing overtime in last year's 2-1 loss in Golden.
In September, the Lopers led 1-0 with four minutes to go when Mines tied the game to force OT. UNK had the best scoring chances in extra time but no one scored and things ended in a one all tie.
On Friday, the game was scoreless for the first 74 minutes. Mines peppered junior keeper
Marissa Niday (Fremont) with nine shots in the first half and 10 more in the second half.
She kept the Lopers in the game, stopping nine shots. Mines finally broke through at 75:10 when Joanna Graves stole the ball on a pass back to a Loper defender and tallied an unassisted goal.
About 13 minutes later, the 'Diggers leading scorer on the year, sophomore forward Anna Evans, recorded her 10
th goal of the fall. She took a through ball from teammate Erin Onat and got past the UNK defense.
Kearney had four shots in the setback, two coming from sophomore forward
Raliegh Mercer (Centennial, Colo.).
UNK is at Colorado Christian Sunday afternoon.
