Kearney, Neb. - The Nebraska-Kearney women's soccer team returns home this weekend to face MIAA foes Emporia State and Washburn.
The game against the Hornets (3-4-1, 0-2-1) will be a late one, starting no earlier than 10:00 p.m. Friday at Ron & Carol Cope Stadium at Foster Field. The Kearney High/Lincoln High football game proceeds the UNK/ESU tilt; Beacat games usually run until around 9:15 p.m.
Two days later, the WU Lady Blues (1-6, 1-2) come to town for a 1:00 p.m. start. They are at Fort Hays State on Friday.

UNK, in its fourth year as a program, has already tallied 15 goals, five short of tying the school record. Showing the youth of the team, 14 of those goals have been tallied by either sophomores or freshmen.

Ashtin Pawloski (Hastings), leads the Lopers in shots at 14.
Emporia comes in with a sub. 500 record but the Hornets have given up only seven goals as keeper Nikki Schmitz has 29 saves and a 0.91 goals against average. On offense, ESU looks to get the ball to Mindi Lozenski and Elizabeth High, who've each scored two goals.
The Blues' lone win of 2012 was a 1-0 decision over Emporia. They have lost two games in overtime and dropped two others by a single goal.
Caysie Beetey paces the Washburn offense, scoring three goals on 25 shots. No other Lady Blue has taken more than nine shots or scored more than one goal.
UNK hits the road next weekend to face Northeastern State and nationally-ranked Central Oklahoma.
