Box Score Kearney, Neb. – The Nebraska-Kearney women's soccer team tied Northwest Missouri State, 1-1, Friday night in Maryville.

UNK is now 5-8-2 (2-4-2) while the Bearcats are 4-7-2 (2-4-1).

The Lopers out shot Northwest by a wide margin, 19-8, including five in the extra sessions. However, only sophomore Montanna Hosterman (Papillion) scored.

She tallied her team-leading fifth goal of the year eight minutes into the contest and about 10 seconds after a corner by sophomore McKinzie Rieber (Highlands Ranch, Colo.).

 Northwest tied things up in the 22nd minute on a goal by Elizabeth Lee.

For the game, Hosterman and senior Becka Talcott (Denver, Colo.) each took six shots with Texas senior Kristi Rehler having two.

UNK is at Missouri Western State Sunday afternoon.
