Box Score Kearney, Neb. – Junior Emily Precure scored in the 71st minute to lift Central Oklahoma to a 1-0 win over Nebraska-Kearney Friday afternoon at Ron & Carol Cope Stadium at Foster Field.
The Bronchos improve to 8-2-1 (5-1-1) while the Lopers drop to 1-8-1 (1-6-0).
UCO has now shut out five straight opponents, covering 498 minutes. However, UNK almost ended that after the Bronchos were whistled for a foul in the 30th minute.

Lauren Hoeft (Holdrege) right in front of the Bronchos goal. Her shot was on point but senior keeper Brandi Bartley was there to save it.

Playing with UCO much of the day, UNK committed a turnover in the 71st minute. The ball managed to find Precure, who was stationed about 25 yards from the Loper goal on the right wing.
In traffic, she managed to get a shot off that found the upper corner of the net. A diving
Katelin Mielke (Millard West) almost recorded the save but it hit the back of the net for Precure's second goal of 2014.
UCO ended the day with a 10-3 lead in shots. They also took four more corners.
