Box Score Kearney, Neb. – Sophomore Megan Kruse had a hat trick and sophomore Taylor Geis scored twice to help the Hastings College women's soccer team defeat Nebraska-Kearney, 5-1, Wednesday night in Hastings.
The Broncos, ranked 20th in the NAIA, win an 11th straight game to improve to 11-2-1 while the Lopers fall to 2-9-1.

Montanna Hosterman (Papillion) was there to head it in for the 1-0 lead and for her 12th career goal. Hosterman also has tallied three of Kearney's nine goals this fall.
Kruse tied the contest with an unassisted goal in the 30th minute then took a pass from Kayla Nelson and scored the go-ahead goal 13 minutes later.
In the second half, Gies recorded her 12th and 13th goals of the season in the 46th and 48th minutes with Kruse getting on the board again in the 69th minute. Kruse, now with eight goals in 2014, also had an assist.
Overall, Hastings out shot UNK by just a 14-11 margin but 11 of the shots were on goal. Kearney had four more corners with each team picking up eight fouls.
Hosterman took six shots with keepers
Katelin Mielke (Millard West H.S.) and
Regan Zach (Elkhorn H.S.) each playing a half. Zach had five of UNK's six saves.
